Information Technology Manager

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Strategic technology leadership and the ability to translate VFP’s business strategy into a
prioritised IT roadmap.
• Strong knowledge of financial-services technology, core business applications, digital
channels, databases and systems integration.
• Sound understanding of cybersecurity, information-security governance, data protection,
access control, incident response and technology risk.
• Demonstrated project, programme, change and vendor-management capability.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networks, cloud services, Microsoft platforms, databases,
backup and disaster recovery.
• Commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, procurement, contract management
and total-cost-of-ownership analysis.
• Analytical problem-solving, sound judgement and the ability to make timely decisions under
pressure.
• Strong governance, policy, documentation, regulatory-compliance and audit-remediation
discipline.
• Leadership, coaching, delegation and performance-management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder management and the ability to explain
technical matters to non-technical audiences.
• Customer-service orientation, collaboration, integrity, confidentiality, accountability and
continuous-improvement mindset.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, critical incidents and deadlines while maintaining
